Testimonials

Team Sunrise Companies,

2024 is an incredibly special year for all Sunrise Companies Partners, Office Staff and Field. I am grateful for you allowing me, Orco, and White Cap to work for Sunrise Companies for all 40 years. I remembered delivering one of your first jobs in Arizona in 1984. It's a great story. Unknowingly, I was delivering to one of the Founders of Sunrise Companies Bud "Oliver" Hills.

Dennis Balzer, Bud " Oliver " Hills, Lloyd Bradley, Rick McPherson II founded the company in 1984. Over the years, each of them made an incredible impact on the industry and were a positive force in many lives. Still to this day, there are hundreds of framers in leadership positions that have learned from these men, I'm not sure if there's a better compliment than that. The Founders consistently set examples of leadership and integrity, focused on customer service, and creating an environment where people wanted to work and to win. They created a place where people counted, were valued, and appreciated for the contribution they made to the organization. Their commitment to people counting is evident. This materialized with employees moving up into management positions and even becoming Active Shareholders. With both men and women serving as Active Shareholders it further shows the commitment Sunrise Companies has to their entire team and their valued customers.

All of us in the construction industry, remember the challenges of the Great Recession. Sunrise Companies overcame those challenges and came out stronger than before.

Now Sunrise Companies has become a legacy company, with Richard McPherson III running the new Idaho division, along with the Active Shareholder’s input and direction, Idaho will be a successful venture. Much like the Sunrise Concrete division headed up by Eric Darr, The Pima Door division run by Regina McPherson. Both these entities share the same values as Sunrise Companies with a focused mindset on Compassion, Quality, Integrity, taking care of both their teams and customers.

I have personally been so grateful to work with hundreds of construction companies and their employees. There are great companies still out there and there are great companies that were acquired or have disappeared. But I have served The Sunrise group the longest. I have learned a great deal from all the customers that have given me the chance to work for them. But, when you have a great teacher for 40 years, you better learn something!!

Thank you so much for the opportunity to serve.

— Rick Hewitt - “The Cheese” 41 years Nail Salesman / Account Manager - White Cap Supply

Many years ago, I first met most of the Sunrise Carpentry team.  I was a young and inexperienced lumber salesperson.  They were so inviting and helpful; in many ways, they helped me learn the framing business. I have sure appreciated working with them over the years. Sunrise Carpentry are some of the best people I know.  The company spirit flows from the leader Rick McPherson down, the company runs on the values and convictions of their leader.  If you are looking for a company who you can trust and will help you get the job done, you have found them.  If you want to work with high quality people who are down to earth and honest, then Sunrise is the company.  I absolutely trust these guys and have worked with them for many years.  Sunrise Carpentry is a company that treats customers as friends and employees like family.  Sunrise Carpentry is one of the finest framers in Las Vegas.

— Richard Ludwick - Commercial Sales Rep - 84 Lumber

Las Vegas is a town where hard work, character, and strong relationships will put you on a path to success.  Sunrise Carpentry has displayed all of these characteristics without faltering for several decades.  They are 100% customer service oriented and sometimes to honor your word comes at a great cost, you have to love what you do to never waver in this area.  Companies come and go here, the ones that last like Sunrise treat their employees like family, do the right thing even when they don’t have to, treat their vendors with respect, and make the town they serve a better place to be. In your career if you’re lucky you make a few friends and I have made several at Sunrise Carpentry.
